yeah its just standard xbox no mods...the data found on the TSOP is just a little different than when it left the MS factory

As for the video...
look at this-->
http://www.gamesx.co...inouts/xbox.htmyou want to get SCART (15 kHz RGB)...you can see at the bottom of the page that you can get SCART (15 kHz RGB) by conecting pins 17,18,19 to pins 5,6,7
so you are "grounding" those pins...by grounding those you are telling the xbox when it boots to do straight RGB at arcade refresh rates...(do not confuse this with just buying a xbox SCART cable) ...its different
So, once you have set your SCART (15 kHz RGB) mode you can see that V,R,G,B,Gnd are on pins 24,22,11,9,8 respectively...these wires will go directly to your arcade monitor...
V=composite sync
R=Red
G=Green
B=Blue
Gnd=Ground
also, for each color(r,g,b ) there is a Gnd for each...you will twist all 3 Gnds for color to the main (pin

Ground...and so 4 combined grounds go to your arcade monitor ground.
It may sound complicated but ....well it is...
thats why I have a special place in my heart for Xport and Gogo...when they release new shit my cab just lights up....
(SIDE NOTE)
the xbox only outputs a 1Volt signal on each color R,G,B ... all arcade PCB's output a 5Volt signal....so you want to AMPLIFY the R,G,B after it leaves the xbox but before it hits the monitor....luckily there is a place that makes just such a video amp for 15.00$ YEAHHHHH!!!! it brings the RGB output to perfect arcade Voltages ...it is powered by the original power supply already in my cab...you will be blown away when you see the xbox pumping 5Volts RGB....colors are vivid and crisp more than any hdTV ive seen...arcade PCB's are all designed to output 5volts to draw players into arcades with bright colors and flashy pictures...
here is where i got mine
http://ultimarc.com/vidamp.html15.00 shipped
and he included a VGA extension cable that i imediately cut in half and used to make my video cable like this -->
http://xbox-scene.co...s/vga-cable.phpthat is a great guide that i should have mentioned earlier...i made my cable the same way as that VGA cable but just different mode setting by grounding pins 17,18,19 to pins 5,6,7 but i still end up with female VGA connector to connect to the video AMP
I used the VGA pinout info on near the BOTTOM of this page to know where all my xbox wires should go as they enter the AMP-->
http://ultimarc.com/monfaq.htmlWARNING!!!!!!!!
Arcade monitors EVEN WHEN UNPLUGGED can retain very high voltages...please be careful when messing around with them and if you touch the wrong thing and end up a pile of gamer dust then its not my fault!!!!!!!!!!!
k?
maybe this should go in the tutorial section....
