Hi everytime i start boot from the slax i get an error pics posted.

any idea?

only slax wont (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

its probably the connection between the dvd-rom and the pc thats faulty.. before you start your computer try to eject the cd, and insert it again, then boot up your computer.. or try to take out the cd, boot your computer and when the computer asks for a CD to boot cause no operating system is found then insert the cd and press enter.. that worked for me.. but still I got an IRQ 5 error =/ so it wont work for me yet..

my fault, i tried to boot the cd from the hitachi not my pc dvd-rom (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

But in Windows i still dont see the hitachi.

And after slax loaded the hitach LED isn't flashing (46DH)

then I guess I wasnt clear enough.. ofcourse you should boot it from your xbox hitachi 360 dvd .rom.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) how else can you set it in Mode Bee

hello everyone

when i ran the slax cd i also got the irq 5 error and so i just rebooted my computer, removed the cd, and booted into windows and it found the xbox drive no problem!

so if you guys are having trouble with the slax cd and getting errors reboot your pc and take out the cd like your suppose too if slax fully loads and see if you get lucky like i did!

let me know how it goes

BTW you boot from your pc dvd-rom not your xbox drive

right.. hmm.. perhaps your all correct.. but it still wont work for me =/ I tried the wired method, now windows wont reckognize it at all =/=/

When i boot slax from hitachi i still get the error message from the top.
From the PC ist runs to log in screen drive is not in debug mode.

All done, my older PC with nforce 4 250GB did it.
Wastet so much time, but totday i found the nvidia S-ATA Ports on my Board, because there are 4 SilImage Ports too ^^.
MB ASUS K8N-E Deluxe AI.

Ok guys.. finally got my X360 opened today..

Was waiting on the Hitachi / LG release

I'm a little confused here.

What is the proper procedure for doing this flash.. the firmware readme assumes that we've all used slax before or something and you can be damn sure i'm not gona short two wires together.

I have the Slax boot cd downloaded.. ok so i boot it in my pc dvdrom ... with my xbox on and sata connected to my pc.

nothing happens.. blank screen after a while...

Then what ?? Reset .. Boot to windows ??

I want to make sure i don't mess up my drive.
