Crossed Wires Method to get to modeB:
Stick 2 pieces of thin wire in the back of the white connector without cutting or opening anything, in the pin 9 and GND (0) position. These wires jam in next to the black ones that are in the same hole.
 

Hold the 2 wires connected together with your fingers before powering on the 360, pushed the power button and disconnecting the wires just a fraction of second after the power light came on. Connect your STA cable then turn on your pc and windows will recognize it.
KEEP THOSE WIRES TOGETHER TOO LONG AND YOU GET AN XBOX-SHAPED BRICK!

That's an extremely difficult procedure, you fuck that up and you brick the xbox, and probably give yourself a good few shocks in the process.

Just work on doing it with Slax.

You see the difference between you and me is that I don't risk breaking things, the clips on that case are seriously fucking difficult to deal with, but what I don't do is go on a message board whining for more info, if you don't understand or know how to use the information in front of you, then you shouldn't be doing it.

And I think geebee explained that process perfectly in his faq. I would have no problem following those instructions, I just wouldnt do it that way as it's far too risky and 360's cost a lot of money.

if you could follow that guide why not follow the one to open your 360 it is so easy make sure the keys points are smaller than the hole by a little bit then push it in and u will hear a click then pull that part of the case further apart and do the other side....IM A 15 YEAR OLD BOY WHO CAN DO IT, and i want this firmware now so im resorting the the wire method it might be easy i could have my friend turn the console on counting from 3 to 1 just after he says 1 ill pull the wire out and it should be in modeb

And I'm a 24 year old IT professional who knows not to fuck about with things for no good reason. If I was absolutely sure that this firmware would work on my drive, then I would find a way to get that case open, as it is, the odds are against, so I simply can't be bothered to work on it.

What so bad about trying to take your case off look at the picture and make that tool put it in the litle holes push when you hear a click move the case apart and do the other side SIMPLE. I mean peoples intelligence is really going downhill these days...
