I hope he can make a Windows firmware for the drive. I dont like how ghetto Modeb is, especially since  my hitachi drive will stay with my PC.

Of course they will. It says it right in the information about the release. They aren't "Samsung-patched backups", they're "Security-sector-patched backups".

if you're stupid enough to post this without doing any reading AT ALL, then you shouldn't even attempt to disassemble your xbox 360.

Im gonna ask the same question as kain what does
"Ensure Hitachi drive is in 'mode b' either by two wire trick or slax linux boot cd " mean
ive read that the two wires trick if done wrong can brick you 360 so im not so sure about trying it
but if someone could point me in the direction of a tut for the use of slax method i'd be greatful

Fuck you. I am doing reading, and no where on this page http://www.xboxhacke...33&topic=1333.0 said anything about identifying versions. it was an innocent question.

Is there a way of opening the 360 without ripping the warranty sticker? Perhaps the hair dryer trick? Any method found at all?

Also, for anyone who has this firmware, how often do your backups boot, any disc read errors? If not, then what media you using?

not all of us are extremely computer friendly and know exactly what were doing with every release of every hack. . .yes people could just look at their drive but how would they know they had to look there? its common sense to us but not everyone  is quick to think about looking on top of the drive, cause like me im lazy and like to ask others what options i have in finding out infor on my systems besides taking it apart

Mike

they could have tried searching on the various forums instead of imediately  asking.....
The question has been answered like a million time before so it wouldn't take more then 2 minutes... offcourse being lazy is easier but you can expect people to flame you for it

its called reading the forums. it just pisses me off when people depend on others to give them the answer when the information they're looking for has previously been posted about 5000 times in the forum. not only do you contribute nothing to the community by asking such questions, you waste other people's time.

if you wanna keep arguing just pm me, don't clog the thread with this stupid shit.
