uhhh any kind of metal to metal connection... if you don't have croc clips just use a wire.
strip both ends of the wire... connect one end to the chassy of the computer and attach the other to the outer chassy of the 360.

Or I believe it has been said you can use the same POWER STRIP and that too is common ground?  (not sure if this answer is correct just read it somewhere and it kinda makes sense.)

Hitachi LG 46D successfully patched with Xtreme's firmware.
Downloaded and burned a PROPER iso and trying to test out now.
Has anyone got a Memorex DL to boot yet? It sits in the drives and the drive times out.
I don't have HD cables to do the switch trick.. I'm not sure if it's the media,
or if the drive is just timing out itself. I'll have to find another way to keep the drive
from timing out, while I order some different media to test also.

So far the census seems to be that Verbatim's are the way to go, anyone else have success
with any other media?

***UPDATE - Well it seems that Memorex's don't work at all. I tried restarting the 360 with the disc already
in the drive, it came up with a dirty disc message, and required a reboot. So much for Memorex. ***

I have the 47dj drive and a p4p800 deluxe motherboard.

Im using the xecuter connectivity kit. If im right, when the light is red, it is modeb. Well, since the shyte aint come with instructions, i tried both, and both gave what i listed above. Both ways the drive was visible in windows, and i could eject the drive tray thru windows.

Any ideas. Anyone use a p4p800 drive to flash a Hitachi. I searched here and on xboxhacker and seems like nobody has so far.

I have one p4p800 i tried modeb with the linux cd, but the pc crashed at the midle of the flash (because overclocking) I restored the drive but I will try again when I have the kit from executer... because was very dificult so start the drive in modeb (mb bios related - beta - for overclocking) I will try at standard CPU FSB RAM a GPU speeds wink.gif

I recived it now, boot to modeb did the backup and flash no problems wink.gif board P4P800 intel chipset (beta bios)

I think that you have the geeb releasse, but this is only the bat files, you need the Xtreme and the flash and backup files from geebs great work, with the Xecuter kit it's as easy as flashing a "normal" PC DVD drive.

could you explain the steps you did then to flash. I had the xtreme release v1.1. I now got the geebs release with the flash, backup, and restore bat files. I copied those to the xtreme 1.1 folder. I tried using the flash. bat and the xtreme bat like i did before, and still got those flashsec47_win is not recognized errors?

I flashed my Hitachi 46 drive with 47 firmware, and I did not make a backup. Now the drive won't eject the tray. And the lower right led is flashing. Is there a solution to this problem? Did I totally bricked my drive?

Why would you go and do that, being that this whole topic is about how the 46 and 47 are different?
Here's a backup of my 46D firmware. See if you can do anything with this

Original 46D Firmware BIN

Good luck buddy
