benq and liteon are generaly based at around the 5.8 - 6.2 mark anyway. and they go down very quickly. much quicker than samsungs and hitachi's. 1 tiny movement can drop it from 6.0 to 3.0 so be very miniscule with movements and check, check and check again with multimeter. this guide is quite old and written for samsung / hitachi. although the pots are tweaked the same i wouldnt go as low as 2.8 on benq or liteon. rest is as it should be. try in steps of .10 or .20. i know this can be very hard with benq / liteon but you'll be glad you did. 5.2 seems to be a sweet spot for me on the many i have done. once tweaked below 4 the laser seems to die very quickly (1 - 3 months) and needs completely replacing.
also if buying a new laser be sure to find a decent stockist as i have had many lasers from ebay that are broken and if you dont have a lot of experience with them then you will just assume the laser is fine and its the drive as the new laser doesnt work either.
not sure if advertising is allowed. (if not i appologise and please remove from post). i use this seller a lot from UK and have had 50+ lasers from him and only ever had 1 that didnt work, compared to buying 5 from ebay and 4 not working. grrrr.
http://www.console-s...Laser-Benq.htmlthose work in benq and liteon and very reasonable at £6
