Clear enough in the tut, you just need the SS file, in most cases (99,9%) of the released games the images are already prepatched with this file. DMI and PFI are the stealth files, you don't need them to play the game but its safer to patch them in the image so MS can't (we think, noboby confirms) see you have a fake disc in your drive. Media stealth only works on samsung-toshiba drives at this time

I burnt 7 backups on the Matrix, tested on a samsung ms28 drive, 3out of 7 actually started up and loaded, but would freeze and give me dirty disc trying to load the actual game. I tried quiet mode 4x, made no difference. Verbatim loaded everytime full speed, no problems. I will test the backups on my hitachi once I figure out why it wont recognize it via the the flash21s.exe, but loads fine in windows and is seen by the firmware tool 3.0, able to dump not raw mode though, but have key and such extracted.

Could someone please help me im new to xbox360 modding but i used to mod the first xbox so i have some knowledge on the topic. im getting ready to hack my hitachi firmware, but in order to do that i have to hook the dvd rom into my pc using SATA. i am confused on what SATA  is (I know of ide, usb, etc.) and if the slax list is the only chipsets that will work with the cd. cause i dont want to take chances with my 360 with that cross wire method. wen i go into my bios i see nothing about SATA. i have an intel pentium 4 cpu 3 ghz, SiS-661 mobo and SiS661fx chipset, with pheonixbios (bios d686, i think). so  can someone tell me exactly wat SATA is and how i can tell if my chip set is supported by SATA and slax please.

1. No the one on the front page is out of date, the better one (the one I used and flashed a drive in under 10 mins with no prior 360 experience - I love you guys!!) is this one

2. SATA is the 'new' IDE to put it briefly. Google for it, look at what the SATA ports look like, check your PC's mobo for them however I would suggest buying a SATA card as most are not compatable. I think all this is covered in the textbook linked above.

I can't help with the Hitachi, mine is a Samsung MS25 but they all look pretty straight forward in theory but they are all covered in the textbook.

Hi, I've lurked for over a year and finally had something to ask...

Does anyone know if the 7/17-7/18/07 (Fry's) or 9/13/07 (Best Buy) bundled Premiums w/ HDMI have flashable DVD drives? I don't really want to bring one home and open the case, only to find it's a BenQ.

I've been reading many tutorials.  Some show you how to rip games with WxRipper (great program Gael360).  Others show you how to stealth patch kreon dumps so you can play with iExtreme firmware (and XBL).  Before I go out and buy a Kreon Drive my question is this...

Can I hot swap a game, rip it with WxRipper, then stealth patch it with either DVD Mulleter or SSMerge?  I've been told that DVD Mulleter will only patch kreon dumps...not WxRipper dumps.  Is this true?

I read that tutorial that RichMR2 posted (great tut, thanks) and it shows that you can rip games with WxRipper and then patch with DVD Mulleter.  Unfortunately I cannot get this to work (the patching part).  Has anyone out there had success with WxRipper AND DVD Mulleter???

Do you know who wrote that tut so I could at least ask them?

Hope you can help - im a complete noob at this so please no flaming - you hwere like this TOO at one point ) -

Basically, I flashed my own hhitachi 47 drive with no issues, bought a game, backed that up to try and workd perfectly,.

My friend has asked me to sort his out - he has a hit 0078 drive that has failed, he bought a new hit 0047 but obviously the key needs swapping ocver - is there a really easy to follow tut for this procedure?

you need to do more that insert the key, you need to spoof the 47 to tell the console that it is a 78..... the section on 79 with external programmer goes through the spoofing......

Firmware toolbox will do it all for you.....
