Editing Mtkflash To Work With Your Sata Chipset
« Reply #495 on: October 04, 2006, 07:10:00 AM »

Im now trying for 3 days to flash my samsung(ms25) drive.
But i get stuk after i choose my Drive (sec master).
i get     "port: 960, Master/Slave: a0"    then nothing anymore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Now im thinking that i have to customize my mtkflash, but that ain't going well either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
I allready tried the MTKFLASH for NForce mobo's, but no go.

specs mobo: A8N SLI Nforce4 (SATA)

In systeminfo32:
Naam                   SCSI/RAID-hostcontroller
Fabrikant                   (Standard mass storage controllers)
Status                   OK
PNP-apparaat-ID   ACPI\PNPA000\4&6CD500CD&0
I/O-poort                   0x0000FFE0-0x0000FFEF
IRQ-kanaal   IRQ 9
Stuurprogramma   c:\windows\system32\drivers\dtscsi.sys (, 217,90 kB (223.128 bytes), 19/07/2006   1:51)

I think its weird that i only see 1 "I/O Port" and with all the other in this topic, there are lots more.
I don't know anymore what to do (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks for helping mate, I've just found a programme called Xtreme Boot Maker which auto detects the MSINFO32 section and creates an edited mtkflash for you. I was on the right lines but the details which show after auto-detection are 80862651 E400E600.

Nevermind, got if done.

i recommend to anyone trying to flash their firmware to get textbook's guide, and follow it exactly, i have a ms28 drive and had no trouble. much respect to textbook for the guide and everyone who makes all the handy little tools.
