Need An Angel
« on: May 20, 2006, 05:22:00 AM »

I have a 939GT2 motherboard (Nforce4 based)

I am trying to retrieve my dvd key but no matter what combinations i try cannot get it to read, although it is seen by the bios etc.

Basically i think i need to hex edit my mtk-nf4 to correspond with the port information given by my pc, others have done this sucessfully.

I'm on the blag, hopefully restoring my faith in the human race could someone take a peep at my info below and tell me what the hex edits need to be, may even throw a night in with the wife if sucessful

Cheers

Hey

Ok well I suggest you boot your pc into dos first. Once your in dos turn on your xbox and make sure dvd drive is attached to the xbox. Once it is fully booted connect the drive to your pc and run the command.

Also here is a pic that varifies that the MTKFLASH in-cluded with xtreme is modified properly for 2 ports on your board. You can modified it further though and added your other ports.

IPB Image

I have lighted the settings that apply to your board.
The highlight section starts with DE10 which is your vendor id.  VEN_10DE

Then comes the device id 5400 which is your device id.           DEV_0054

Then comes I/O ports for those two specific sata ports on your board.
F009 taken from I/O Port 0x000009F0 and 7009 taken from I/O Port 0x00000970.

Hope this helps. Also try to diable any onboard ide that is not needed. I know a lot ppl who have said booting up with a floopy with no optical drives connected and only 1 hdd was worked a lot better.

Try This One
first one comes up as NF3 2nd one comes up as ICH5 i think

Did you try to disable sata bootrom in your bios?, if you don't have the option you probably need to hotswap with your 360 hdd or another sata device boot up with the drive attached then when in dos swap the drive with your TS and see if it recognizes it

try looouky's way too
