Dvd-rom Works With Pci Sata Card?
« on: May 19, 2006, 08:02:00 PM »

Tonight I decided to make sure I can immediately modify my firmware when Hitachi LG is hacked.

VIA vt6421 is what I have, before booting up Windows (not in the system Bios) it detects the Dvd-rom, but it tells me to tab to create a array or raid, and freezes if I don't press tab withing a few seconds. (The only reason I have a Sata card is so I could hook up my 360 HD, don't know much about them yet) I should be able to boot without doing anything (360 HD did). I also tried to just the the VIA Raid tool in windows to see if that could help me at all, and it doesn't see the drive.

Is it possible with a PCI card, or do I just have a incompatible chip set, or am I just a total moron?
