find out what sata chipset is on your mobo...read the manual or check their website.

If it is Silicon Image chipset it wont work

you *must* have the video cable plugged in

You have power to the xbox drive?


go get the raid manual for yor board:

PM800 raid manual

check the bios settimngs

I suggest reading all the threads here that look relevant. Usually they are the longer posts. I will help you tomorrow.


To be honest, if you dont know what raid is then you maybe overstepping your abilities just now.

Learning by your mistakes is fine, but the mistake could kill your xbox.

I suggest waiting a bit...but its up to you of course.

im gonna atleast try to get the bios to recognise the rom so that way if i dont try it tonight, ill be a bit farther in "the struggle"
