« on: August 08, 2004, 05:03:00 PM »

Or, would that ruin the arcade-feel?

Thanks.

While viewing the ROM list hit Start to bring up the menu.  Select "Help" and read.

"Bad eye sight"?  Don't make excuses for good-ole-fashioned laziness.   If that was the case you woulnd't be able to load any roms, since their fonts are smaller.

You don't need to see what game you are loading to use it, and yes, I have to lean over to the TV and see what is what.

Brian

PS: Stop trying your best to be a fucking dick, it's not working. As I said previously, I did search for how to pause the game.

That wasn't my intention, but it is now.

So you just randomly pick a game due to your "blindness"?   If my eyes were that bad I would consider an S-Video to Braille adapter.   You could go wild with some of those Mahjong games.

No you did not.  The title of the topic, "Will We Ever Be Able To Pause A Game In Mameox?" and the following text, "Or, would that ruin the arcade-feel?" implies that you assumed there was no pause whatsoever.  If you had searched, you would have said "How do I pause a game in MAMEoX?".

Just admit the fact that, like a moron, you didn't think to read the HELP section in MAMEoX.  Instead, you want people to hand you the answer instead of putting a smidgen of thought/effort into learning the answer for yourself (I know waaaay too many people like you IRL).   You're now blaming your embarassment on fabricated handicaps, and it's an insult to people who really can't see.  Be thankful that you can see, and that the only thing you suffer from is a pinch of laziness and 2 scoops of stupidy.

Glasses are expensive, HELP files are free.  Learn to use both.

Nice comeback, who do these people think they are?  They somehow think it is our duty to help them out

Yeah, I prefer communication with a fellow gamer over reading boring text files, you are right, I'm lazy.

Actually, I made that comment, and my life is a duty to help anyone out that I can. I volunteer at a co-op when I can, I'm about to donate many blankets to homeless people that need them, I regularly post messages on a message board for poor people to save money and on it goes. I however do not like dick postings. I admited to the person that I prefer human communication and interaction over reading boring text files: hence, I'm lazy in a sense.

Yes, but you're also suspiciously changing your story every couple posts.  First it's "Oh, I can't read it."  Now it's, "I prefer human communication."

Well, if you like human communication, why not ask a friend or your parents to read the Help file for you?  Human communication right there.  And it's in person, too.  Plus, no reading the Help file.  Isn't that just great?

Human interaction?  You're staring at a computer and typing at a keyboard.  If you want human communication, get a real live person, sitting next to you, to help you instead.
