Why Dual Layer?

I have seen people get some ps2 games to work off the HDD by "flattening" the image... is that not possible here?

TheSpecialist's hack used single layer. This one doesn't. The firmware looks for the SS in the very start of the ISO, I'm not even sure if TheSpecialist's concentrated on the SS position.

This is an inferior hack, but it's all we've got.

So it seems like it's best to wait for the Hitach LG hack which is also supposed to be DVD/Game region free as I've heard.

If the Hitachi hack is done by c4e, then I very much doubt it will have any extra functions that the Samsung FW didn't...especially region free.

Region is not controlled by the Drive , is by the default.xex which cant be modified if you want them to work with the hack.
