xtrm8001.bin sounds fishy. Find another package.

Ok,I got the files to put the fw to my 360 but Im unsure if theyre the ones I need because in the tuts they mention a xtreme_proper.bin and the xtrme0800.bin when I have only the xtrme8001.bin and a xtreme.bin file, all the other files needed are named correctly in the package I got, from the security sectors to the mtkflash files. Also I dont have sata conection on my pc, is there some kind of tut to make an adapter or something? thanks in advance.

Edit- btw the files I have are 256 kb in size.

The Xtrme800.bin is only needed for your 360 drive if you want to dump the SS of the games. So if you just want to play your backup all you need to do is. Add you 360 drive key to the Xtreme_proper.bin and flash back. Then it's done.

where I see people getting confused is that the foros360 release does not have an xtreme_proper.bin file

it does come though with ppf-o-matic3 and xtreme_proper.ppf

You r supposed to use ppf-o-matic3 load the xtreme.bin (make extra copy first) and patch it with xtreme_proper.ppf.

Now you can rename your xtreme.bin to xtreme_proper.bin cuz u applied the xtreme_proper.ppf patch.

(when open with KDX u will see 00 00 00 .. as you key rather than FF FF FF, paste your original key here and save)

sata adapters don't work for this.  Sorry buddy.  Find someone who does have sata on their motherboard and borrow their system or upgrade your mobo.  There's also some sata pci cards that work
