Usb 2.0 To Sata Adapter Cable
« on: May 18, 2006, 11:35:00 AM »

I know I know.. im still stuck with IDE.. not SATA support on my computer. Was wondering if a USB 2.0 to SATA Adapter Cable, would recognize a the dvd drive during DOS mode when you read/write the firmware.

I really don't wanna buy a new computer just to try this.

its already been stated (and could be found using the search feature) that DOS has no support for USB and thus this will not work. Regards...

I can't try this myself because i don't have the samsung drive but there is dos usb drivers that can be downloaded. Might want to check that out, but as krayzie said. Don't count on it to work.

Found a site googling dos usb drivers.

Even if you could get a DOS USB driver working, chances are the USB adaptor wouldn't support IDE Flash...
