SATA PCI card that works

I have found a SATA PCI card that works. It has a VT6421L controller. All you have to do is use a hex edited mtkflash (I found it on the compatibility thread)and update the drivers to 520c.

That was me and I got it to work by downloading the updated 520c drivers from via arena. I made a post about this earlier.

Here is the link for the drivers

Can someone help me please.  I just got the VIA6421 SATA Adaptor today and when I am ready to flash my Toshiba DVD ROM Drive for the original firmware I get Port:b000, master/slave:a0.  What does this mean did I do something wrong I also used the hex edit mktflash and still the same error.  Any help would be great thanks.

Hey I got my PCI card from Newegg today. Updated drivers installed perfectly, now I just need to test out the Mtkflash.

I will let you guys know if I can get it to work!

I have to wait until I get off work.

Same problem addressed at Xboxhacker.net:

Thread

Responses:

1.

you have to insert the game disk in windows, if it's already in there at boot it will not be recognized.

2.

I've the same problem using VIA 6421 pci controller, maybe it refuses to pass the FF CDB command.
Once xtrm0800.bin fw loaded, you can use a sata-to-ide converter or a sata-to-usb converter to send CDB commands and rip the game partition.

Hope that helps smile.gif
