Motherboard/PCI Card: Old dell 5100 or something mobo with VIA VT6421L SYBA card (super cheap)
xbox Drive: Hitachi 78
Burner: Pioneer 111-D firmware 1.29
Software: CloneCd @2.0-2.4x
Media: Verbatim DL+

Boy do I love my pioneer.  Within 10 mins of opening it I had it installed and burning.  The best part is how damn cheap it is.

1. Motherboard: ASUS P5B Deluxe JMicron SATA Controller (External)
2. DVD Burner: Pioneer 111D Fw 1.23
3. Xbox 360 DVD: Samsung MS25
4. Media: Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5Gb 2.4x
5. Program: ImgBurn

Works perfect, no coasters.  smile.gif

This motherboard has two onboard SATA controllers. Intel ICH8 for the internal SATA ports and the JMicron Controller for the External SATA port. I used Xtreme Boot Maker to modify MTKFlash and flash my Xbox 360 using the external port. This saves the hassle of having to open your PC up to plug in the SATA port.
If you are going to use this board & method then set the JMicron SATA Controller to IDE in the BIOS and get an eSATA to SATA cable. I got a 2m one off ebay for £2. Bargin!

Happy Flashing!!
