Mobo - Abit AV8
Burner - Benq DW 1650 (Firmware BCHC) Default bitsetting already at DVD-ROM
Disks - Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x
360 drive  - TS H943 with xtreme 5.2 slow

First working backup burnt using Nero (R6 Vegas) at 2.4x. Few dirty disk errors when menu was loading, but okay in game. Will test with more (and CloneCD) when I can afford them at the weekend :/

Mobo: A7V880 (VIA 8237 SATA Chipset)
Burner: NEC ND-3550A 1.6Y firmware
Media: Memorex Ritek 00 something...forgot the rest, 2.4x media
Drive: MS-28 Sammy

burned at 2.4x, will work in my friend's 5.2c patched Sammy but not in my 2.1 patched hitachi. (really surprised me, seems it will read nothing but verbatim discs)

Any idea if flashing to 2.3 will help this?

guys,

sorry if this has been answered, but i couldn't find it.

i am having problems with flashing the 78fk

i have an asus k8v-mx board with via onboard, a si3114 and a via vt6421a (not all in at the same time)

the onboard via will not get into mode b using slax 2.0 or 2.1
the via vt6421a will not get into mode b using slax 2.0 or 2.1
the si3114 will get it into mode b, then when i get into windows and try the flash, it ALWAYS fails at the checksum stage!!!!!!!!!!!!

please help.

Someone please tell me what board/sata combo i need and i'll go and buy it

thanks

1) PCI card: VIA VT6421 - CONCEPTRONIC SATA PCI CSATACOMBO
2) DVD Burner: LG GSA-H10N
3) Media: Memorex DL @ 2.4x (Ritek d0 stock)
4) Drive: TS MS25 Xtreme 5.1C using X360SAM/modified mtkflash

Everything works.
Initially had lots of DDEs, but they disappeared once I updated my DVD burner with its latest firmware. Now I have 100% success rate.

1)VIA VT6421A PCI card
2)Pioneer 111D firmware 1.29 + samsung 652C drive with kreon 0.81
3)verbetamin DVD+R DL
4) samsung ms25 with extreme5.2c

used extreme bootmaker to flash
use backup creator to rip and burn the backups
also burned some downlaods with cloneCD

no problems at all everything works great

point 1+2+3 cost me 100euros that is the price for 1.5 games, why do people take all the trouble of messing with other brands known to give problems, i had two other burners at home, a nec3500 and a samsung i didnt even try those; just took em out of the pc and bought a samsung kreon and the pioneer 111d

hell why do some try to save 10 cents on cheaper DVD? i dont get it

1. Motherboard: Asus P4SD-LA with built in Intel 82801EB SATA Controllers
2. DVD Burner: Samsung SH-S162L
3. Media Brand: Fuji DVD+R DL 2.4x
4. XBOX 360 Drive: Hitachi/LG 0078FK -> Flashed to Maximus Xtreme 1.6

Worked on the first try, very easy thanks to Toolbox's video and written tutorial. Tested a backup which I burned with CloneCD, and downloaded the DMI and PFI patches for (used XBC 2.3 to merge them into the iso).
