My card is the link below:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16815124022

These are the drivers I used:

http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageI...80&SubCatID=117

This is the edited MTKFLASH that I used:

http://rapidshare.de/files/20676748/MTKFLASHvia.zip.html

I think this is the cheapest way to get it working if you don't have a motherboard that works!

My burner is the MD-16xdvd9-8x from www.mdmm.com

Shuttle SN25P rev2 (Nforce4 Ultra)
NEC 3540A w/ modified 1W6 firmware
Verbatim 8X +R DL media

No problems flashing using the Nforce4 version of MTKFlash on SATA channel 1.
No problems ripping using DVDinfopro/ISOBuster (at the time, the 360 drive was hooked up to SATA channel 3)
No problems burning with CloneCD. I did try the DVD Decrypter method for a couple of my rips, but I got the "invalid" image error, even though these same images worked fine when burned with CloneCD.

I've been burning @ 2.4x, though I tried one of my games @ 4x, and couldn't notice any difference. I'm burning a game @ 8x to see if the media and/or my Xbox can take it.

What speeds have everyone been burning at?

4 days of reading up on this...

1) ASROCK P4V88+  - VIA VT8237 SATA controller
2) NEC ND-4551A
3) RiDisc 8.5Gb - 2.4x

First burnt game was a coaster (first time i used DL burning on the drive)
but second and third worked a treat

Cheers

Motherboard: HP xw4300 workstation (945 chipset ICH7)
DVD Burner - Sony DRU-710A
Media - Verbatim DVD+RW DL - 2.4x

No problems backing up after using wxRipper and applying SS.bin.  Additional note, sammy drive runs super quiet playing backups compared to originals.

1. Intel d865perl mobo (2x onboard SATA)
2. LiteOn DVDRW SOHW-1633S
3. Verbatim DVD+R DL (up to 6x speed) Burned at 2.4x with DVDdecrypter
xp pro sp2

The d865perl board would read/write the TS firmware (using mtkflash from DOS 5 floppy) & extract the disc SS from the 360(using DVDinfopro) but the unlock command (from dvdinfopro) simply resulted in 'black cd' within isobuster.  The LiteOn works w/ wxripper but the drive has to be taken apart.  A paper clip in the emergency eject hole creates an eject command within the drive. The two retail DL DVDs I had to find the magic number were 'The Cat in The Hat' (Mike Myers) & 'Finding Nemo' .  Patched game iso w/ ss.bin using ss merger 1.3 (1.5 is current ver.)
Burned at 2.4x using this guide`http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=514437

Don't forget to set the layer break!  If your properly ripped, patched (ss.bin) & burned game does not work, you have forgotten this setting in DVD decrypter.

mobo BIOS Changes necessary to enable the 360 drive:
boot to bios & Select: advanced, drive configuration,
ATA/IDE Configuration [Legacy]
Legacy IDE Channels [SATA P0/P1, PATA Pri]    (PATA enabled for IDE HD)
PCI IDE Bus Master [Enabled]
Hard Disk Pre-Delay [Disabled]
f10 save and exit

Soyo Dragon 2 Motherboard (Intel 865 chipset)
NEC 3520A (1.UA hacked firmware)

DVD Decrypter (w/ layer break + booktype set to DVD-ROM)

Oblivion and Condemned worked perfectly.
