Okay I got a Sony DRU-710A drive and DVDInfoPro doesn't give me the error anymore.  I can now get to the screen that says Liteon and Sony Booktype bitsetter.  but it says that a disc must be loaded to be able to set drives bookmode.  I've tried putting CD's DVD's you name it.  It doesn't recognize that theres a disc in the drive.  Not only that but as long as I have DVDInfoPro running I can't see any media in the drive in my computer.  If I close DVDInfoPro my drive magically works again?

Your drive is (media) locked when you have DVDInfoPro open. You need to use OmniPatch. Don't break anything.

Do I use this in place of the DVDInfoPRo?

and how do I use this program?  It asks to load a file when I start it up?  What file?

I dont know if this is the same problem or not.  I just flashed my samsung drive and all looks ok.  I have a backup of PGR3 which I am trying to boot NTSC mind you.  When I put the backup in starts to run then comes to a message saying "To Play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console"  Can anyone point in the direction of what to try.  Right now the 360 thinks the backup is a movie...Thanks!

i think this problem is  with the dvd drive key. If i remember correctly it happens when you switch your drive to a different 360 and dont change the key. So you must not have applied your key to the hacked firmware properly

From the posts it looks like you never set the correct "bitsetting"....

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how to do that?  I've tried both those programs.  DVDInfoPro says that I need to insert a disc even though theres one in there.  And Omnipatch I can't find anywhere that says anything about the bitsetting and where to change it?

Listen, bro, I don't want to sound like a dick or anything, but if you can't figure out how to get your burner working right off of all the information here maybe you shouldn't be doing it.

READ THE LINK I POSTED. You can download it there. You tweak the firmware of your burner (ie: change the booktype) and flash it. This isn't rocket science.

if you don't mean to sound like a dick then dont.  I really appreciate your help I'm just not familiar with those programs  I can't see where in that program to change the booktype.  I've been through every tab and every setting.  If somebody asks you a question about a software package that they're not familiar with to somebody who has used it before thats not being a noob thats just being effecient.
