im still stuck on flashing drive with xtrm0800, it took me over 50 reboots to get mtkflash to read my "orig.bin" firmware and save it.

And now i cant get back in, to flash my modified firmware.

i've tried usuall mtkflash, and an edited mtkflash with my via chipset settings hex edited in it.

just a quick check.

I've diabled all ide, and pulled out all ide cables.
got my xbox hooked up to pc mobo via sata cable (but not powered up).

Then  i power on pc....post boot up happens..

on the 2nd or 3rd reboot my usb pen gets reconised and boots to dos (with mtkflash on it).
soon as dos is loaded, i power on the xbox and wait for it boot up and stop flashing (10 secs).

Then try accessing mtkflash and trying to flash xtrm0800.bin.

BUT ERROR, no device found..

it keeps happening over and over, am i doing something wrong in these stages?

I read somewhere that it cannot be longer than eight characters in the firmware's filename, try that, who knows

Hi Guys

I have read that alot of you are having problems with the unlocking of the media.  I too was having this same problem with the "sense error occurred" every time I entered the send command code.

After serching for 2 days on this problem I found an answer and it seems to work very well.

Here are the steps I have taken to unlock the media.

1: After you have sent the four commands into DVDInfo Pro and saved your SS Key minimise the the DVDInfo Pro software. (Dont bother with the Media code to unlock the drive)

2: Load up your ISO Buster (I have tried both v1.7 and v1.9 and both work) , Select your Xbox360 DVD drive.  You should now see the disk as it should be as a session 1 and not Video and TS folders.

3: Extract the data as per the rest of the tutorial.

Some other info on my findings which you guy's may or may not know.  When ripping one of your originals to your hard disk make sure that the partition is an NTFS partition and NOT a FAT32.  FAT32 has a 4gig limit and I was finding that rips were stopping at about 58% because of this.

I hope you guys find this useful and that it works for you too.

Respect to all especially to the ones that made all this possible

I think i have the old formware and the flashing utility is 1.1 not 1.5, i have backed up the original firmware to several places and i have flashed with the extreme.bin but every xbox1 game i put in says theat the xbox360 had a problem and to goto the surport site i have read the tut very nice but i am buggered if i can find the firmware anywere so i will have to re-flash with the original until i can get my hans on the one in the tut.

Dont know whats going on as in the 1.1 kdx patcher the version of the original firmware says MN25 but in the 1.5 version it says MS25 is this right if so which do i use?

Just got a question that I can't seem to find an answer to.  I've been searching for an answer to this question for good 2 hours or so.  It's not referenced in any of the current tuts v18 or v31, but it was actually one of the first entries on this thread, it just went unanswered.

Is injection of your DVD drive key into the xtrm0800.bin file required as it is required for the modified.bin?  I have already flashed my 360 with the modified.bin, and everything is fine.  I just want to know about the 0800 file before I proceed.  Thanks in advance.

Whatever I do or try it keeps telling me that it is an empty dvd - BLANK CD

Is there an alterntive for isobuster or is the problem with DVDInfoPro that does not make the game visible??

What i did was dump my original with wxripper, got and applied the SS placed disc into xbox and played :-D

Ensure you have the right FW on the xbox drive, thats about it.
