To the guys having this problem....make sure you have the SATA cord pluged into the SATA1 slot....and make sure your SATA slots are not run by the nforce 4 chipset...if it is you have to run an updated .bin...if still nothing...try flashing through a different computer.

I'm new here and i have to say that i am definitely impressed with the amount of info found in these forums.

That said I need a hand here. I've gone through the process of saving my original firmware and finding my DVD drive key.

I've copied and pasted that key ($4000-$4200) using a hex editor, into xtreme.bin and then flashed my DVD drive with xtreme.bin that I edited. All went well. However, when I try to start an original Xbox360 game, I get that message that says "Insert this game into an Xbox Console" in like 7 different languages. I've read in this forum that the DVD drive key is *usually* located at position $4200 in the original firmware backup file. Is there a way to tell where exactly your DVD drive key is located as it seem $4000 - $4200 isn't working properly for me.

Any help is MUCH appreciated...

That definately means the key is wrong.....

have you retried to double check you copied the key correctly?

Hi I have a little question about all this. I would like to burn my games but, by flashing a samsung burner for PC with the xtreme firmware. Then I won't need to open my box, everytime I need to make copies. Would that be possible?

what about taking the firmware chip out if it is a sst and programming it via a willem programmer.
or convert the board to a socket to accept the sst chip. so reflashing aint a problem.
are these possible as i have the needed hardware.

err failed to recognize flash type. I have followed the directions over and over and it dosen't seem to work for me. Can someone please help with this issue.

the xtreme 3.0 nfo says to copy lines 4000-4400....your tutorial says 4000-4200 =]

I have flashed my ts-h943 drive with Xtreme 3.3 all went well drive plays originals but when i try to switch to enable0800 using the disc the drive goes loud and crazy and keeps trying to read, no matter what i do i cant get it to reconize in windozes my bios can see it any help would be great thanks. I used Memorex DVD+R DL discs

ive got a xbox360 with a samsung dvd drive

i no i need
a torx 10 screwdriver
thin tweezers {or similar}
a pc with sata connecton but not the silicon image sil3112 sata chipset these will not work {atmd}

i no my motherboard doesnt have sata on it

can anyone tell me what motherboard i need with sata so i can do my 360 {thanks}

and can someone tell me all the programes i need and tools to do it {thanks}
