Yep, should do

As to the validity, it's old, but it will still work. although obviously you may want a newer firmware

also it doesn't take into account newer / different drive models.
Ok, let's see... I've been doing some more reading, and this is what I've gathered so far as being correct (please correct me if it's not):
1 - Flashing my drive with the correct firmware (replacing the key, etc.,etc.) I would in fact be having a "modded" x-box 360, that is capable of playing backups IF I have a correctly made backup disc. So providing I could somehow get these, no other steps would be necessary.
2 - If I wanted to make my own backups, I would have to reflash with a different firmware, make the image, do the necessary modifications, etc. and burn back the image, having a backup disc that would work on an x-box that has had item 1 done on it (I also would have to flash-back my drive to restore it to previous mode).
Is that it? If so, since you speak of newer firmwares, what's the best/latest/more popular to use?
And a last one, about drive models, I had seen there is the Toshiba/Samsung and 2 models of Hitachi, and all 3 can be flashed, but I also heard of a philips drive... is this one not yet possible to hack? How can I tell what drive I would get buying a new system? (If I can tell at all...).
Thanx!!!
