Could someone like, do a complete VIDEO of "How to hack a xbox 360 firmware"? Including how to open the system, how to connect the DVD-drive to the PC, hacking the firmware, all on tape. That could help alot of people like me who are better off when seeing what to do.

How about someone just comes to your house and does it for you!  If you can't understand what to do or how to read up on it then you should even attemp this hack.

I have a tutorial of sorts for creating a USB Boot Disk.
It works for any USB device that is detected in BIOS on boot (bootable, duh).  It's really easy and helps out if you don't have a working floppy.  I have done it with my sony thumbstick and even other plastic media (MSPro, SM, CF, etc).  Flawless and fast.

Thanks PC_Arcade for your Tutorial,
but I've a question about decrypt and checksum of the firmware.

If I open an encrypted firmaware with KDX 1.5 it tell me that the firmware is
encrypted so I need to decrypt with firmcrypt d myfirmware.bin.
after that I can read my KEY and copy and paste to xtreme_proper.bin
After that before to encrypt the firmware I need to update the checksum???  huh.gif
or simply encrypt the firmaware with firmcrypt e myxtreme.bin ????

Thanks for you reply and sorry for my english.

I can't help, I didn't use KDX as I diddn't see the point given how easy it is to just use a hex editor to copy and paste

In order to test whether it has worked, put an original game in, it should play as normal, then put in an xbox copy if you have one, it won't work, the emulator will say that thi game is not playable (or simillar), but it will recognise it as a game (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

How comes it won't play the backup?
