Am I the only one who thinks that is totally lame "grabbing for credits"?
They take commodore4eva's firmware and change it instead of changing their useless patcher? Which they released before the actual hack was out.Without making it generic enough to actually do the job it was designed for.
And then they have the guts to call it "proper" as if something was wrong with the original firmware.
And to the guys asking for a "step-for-step" tutorial: learn to read and to educate yourself. If you can't extract that information from the information available you shouldn't even consider trying this hack.
It is called "proper" because the dvd key area was zero'd the way it should be for a blank firmware. The word is used a lot in the release world meaning different things. It wasn't an insult to commodore4eva.
As far as "learn to read and educate yourself", there are hundreds of pages of information online right now. Even for technical people it would be nice if someone spent the time to assemble everything of use into a formal "guide". If anything, it would help to clear up some of the countless posts asking the same questions, etc. I don't understand why someone asking for a tutorial (or someone making one) would upset someone!!!
I guess I am saying this: I am pro-tool, and pro-tut. (Even if I don't need them myself) (IMG:

EDIT: Oh yeah, thanks again Scener. Nice work on the tool(s) (IMG:
