Just buy any DVDR drive. I very much doubt it would make a difference, and just get a well known brand for the dvd-rs, i dunno,  verbatim?

Ritek/RiData are some of the very well-known ones, at least I remember that from about a year or 2 ago w/ ps2 backups, verbatim are usually very good too, however, don't expect to play backups anytime soon, suuuure theres a Firmware hack but thats internal and won't be released (unfortunately) and even if it does get released, I am sure MANY MANY MANY of us won't be able to use it.

I've had great luck with Pioneer burners and Ridata discs... Verbatim don't seem to work in original xboxs... DVD-R reads fine in the 360 (movies anyways) along with DVD-R Dual Layer... DVD+R DL don't read however... sad.gif

kiosk disc no longer works after the dashboard update, right?

anyway, a good burner would be the latest NEC or Pioneer ones as they're the cheapest of the bunch. daul layer dvd+/-r are still rather expensive, though($2 per disc).
