Dual-layer Dvd's
« on: January 07, 2006, 06:46:00 AM »

Hello, I have a Thompson DVD drive on my XBox and I know the best media to use on this drive is Ritek discs with the ritek g04 or g05 dye, but I recently upgraded my dvd burner to a Dual Layer but now I have problems making my XBox to read my DL discs... Does anyone know what brand/type of DL discs should I get? I've bought 2 different models from Ritek (printable surface) and Ridisc. I've also tried Traxdata but none of these discs are accepted by XBox (it just says the drive is empty). I have a couple of games I want to backup which are bigger than 4.7GB so can anyone advise me? Thanks

any reason you are posting this in a xbox 360 hacking technical dvd-rom forum?

Wrong forum but, turn on bitsetting.  If your drive doesn't do it, check for a hacked firmware. CD Freaks is a good place to start/learn.
