the sound files are not 'signed' you can replace them with anything and it still boots to the best of my knowledge.

what i did was delete the kameo on the kiosk demo but first copied the .xex file to my desktop, then i put the kameo from the oxm disc into the demo folder of the kiosk disc and deleted  both .xex files and added the default .xex file i had copied to my desktop  and the game launched, i don't know if this is a big deal but when i looked at both .xex file from both demos they were diffrent from each other.

If this is true... release groups will be able to release the demos off of OXM's discs using an edited kiosk disc.  I doubt this is true.

Sorry if this is sort of off topic but I just d/l a ISO called ThemeDisc. It has a bunch of folders that have the name kiosk in them. The total ISO size is only 36.8MB. Is this the disc everyone is talking about? Forgive my ignorance I don't even have a 360 yet.

Has anyone else tried that boot disk release? I tried on my PAL 360 and it recognized it as a game but said it was the wrong region

It's a fake, a bad joke, and it won't work.

is it not possible to edit the path in the gamedb.ini to launch WMV-HD from an external hdd?

For instance VideoPath=Hdd0:\videos\brookeskye.wmv

i dont have a 360 to try it but it will save you having to burn a disk for every movie no?

Has anyone tried editing the demo disk to allow original xbox (.xbe's) to be run?

If it's already been mentioned, then I apologize, but I'm not going to read through all of this crap.

You are talking about original Xbox game xbe's right? If so, it's not possible. The xbe's have a media flag just like 360 games have and they are not set to run from burned media.

I tried everything on the Full Auto demo, but i can't get it to work (yet) I added it succesfully to the disc, only when i have to start the game it says wrong region, or disc maybe dirty. I tried the default.xex and the fullauto.xex. Both wouldn't run. That from the HD is a very great idea. Now only see how the hd are mounted.

Thats an amzing discovery. Its too bad no one really responded to this I had an acct a few years back and this post has made me want to post again. Xboxgeek have you seen this?

http://www.free60.org/wiki/Plaintext

Makes me think this disc has the ability to flash the dashboard chip on a 360. If the kiosk ones were just plain old 360s you could possibly flash any 360 with this disc.

Heres a snippet of that page

I wonder why the disc signs me out of Live when I launch it...  Also, I didn't get King Kong listed on my Games Played.  MS getting wise?

Also, should I be able to access my dashboard menu via the middle button?  At Target you couldn't.
