Downgrade Question
« on: March 07, 2011, 02:27:00 PM »

I don't actually have any intention of doing this, just interested to see if it is technically possible (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My 360 has the U6T3 bridged to prevent efuses, this was done at Kernel 6717. Theoretically as no efuses have been burnt would it be possible to go back to that dashboard revision?

Chris.

If you've upgraded to the newest dash, your eFuses have been blown. You cannot upgrade without blowing eFuses.

The efuses will not have blown surely as the points are bridged to prevent this.

Forgot to mention, my console has the SMC hack running fbbuild 0.11 12611.

if you have your original dump, you can go back to that to play around.  no need to remove the wiring, either.

to go back to a tagged dashboard, however, you'll need to hardware-flash it.

My point was if you've updated to the newest dash, regardless of whether or not you think your eFuses are protected, they will be blown. Since you hadn't mentioned that your console had been exploited, I wanted to make that clear.

It's always possible to flash back to an original dump on an exploited box. I've done it several times to test faulty hardware.

Hold on - are you saying that removing R6T3 or bridging U6T3 doesn't prevent efuses from being blown?

My point was that even if he thought his eFuses were protected, if he had updated to the newest dash they obviously had never been protected and had been blown.
