Hey all in game land. I have a question.
Is there anyone out there playing any of the Mortal Kombat's (1,2 or 3) on an Emulator?  And if so, which emulator are you using and are they working perfectly?

THX in advance

We are all waiting for "Midway Classics II" to be released,
so we wont have to bother with emulation problems anymore.

Seems most have slow down problems. Surreal 64 plays them alright, but at times has slowdown or sound problems

Mameox v0.72.1b runs Mortal Combat 1+2 as good as the arcade. Do'nt know about 3 as i do'nt have it. There's a post somewhere in these forums about something to do with the newer (after 0.72.1b) Mames not using the old midway drivers. The result is naff. The new Mameox will not play Mortal Combat 2 but the old ones will.

...Only if you have the sound off.  I don't know about you, but I like playing with sound ON, so I'm also eagerly awaiting Midway Arcade Treasures vol 2.   The sound in MK1 isn't too bad, but MKII is just horrible.   Both still drop frames like a bad habbit.    Sound OFF works well if I have a gaming get-together at my apt. and I want to have the arcade machine down low with the Halo NMP TVs cranking out their sounds.  Shame tho, since I just installed a sub into my arcade cabinet :(

i don't have that problem?  i'm using the same version and it runs perfect... the sound sounds crack up a bit once in a while but nothing major... also i'm running umk3 and it runs good with the sound on also.... everyone once in a while it seems like it lags when a bunch of action is going on... but again nothing major... i love my mame!!!!   :P

mame-x can play mk1/2 fine but locks up on mk3/umk3

mameox 71.b1 plays all 4 fine and thats with sound. now when i mean fine i mean playable with minor sound glitches and with mk3/umk3 its not full speed but better then nothing ;)

reason why those iemus i mention play them best is cuz it uses the dcs hack :P

i too am waiting for midway treasures 2 and not just for the mk's but primal rage as well :D

Well,  if you are waiting for Midway Arcade Treasures vol 2 to play all of the Mortal Kombats in full glory, you're going to have to get 2 games.  For some odd reason they decided to take out MK 1 out of the Treasures pack and replace it with some lesser know titles.  The only way you'll be able to play an arcade perfect version of MK1 is if you buy a copy of MK Decption: Kollectors edition, when it comes out....and it must be the collectors addition.....limited quantities...blah blah blah.

The nice thing is that PS2 is only getting one cover, while Xbox gets 4 to choose from and collect.

Here is a link to the covers.

kind of neat....but I wished they would have kept all of them together.

If thats true then they just lost my money!

The only reason i was going to get Treasures 2 was because it was going to have all 3 of the mk's

after mk5 i could care less about anything mk'ish, so screw mk decepticon or whatever its called.

Maybe they can be ripped like the arcade games in Shemue? We could have them directly on the dashboard in a Mortal Kombat section  :D .
