Fix For Ap2.5 In New Games
« on: November 21, 2010, 03:53:00 PM »

This example uses Assasin's Creed BROTHERHOOD and removes ap2.5 so your firmware can boot the game, on the new dash by negating the prompt for the check from the dmi.bin.  I'm using a benq 1.41 in the example below. EDIT: this is not for jtag boxes, this is for regular boxes with hacked firmware.

change ss.bin's dmi.bin header to RE5 dmi.bin header

change default.xex dmi.bin header to RE5 dmi.bin header

STEP 1
1. RE5 HEADER (from RE5 DMI.BIN) FOR DEFAULT.XEX
CB3EDA4E1B90A82711018A1B5B2A79D5

which replaces

298F341E24EBE1EC9524C6556D88AE4F  in default.xex for brotherhood

both 16bytes

1. RE5 HEADER for ss.bin referencing DMI.BIN
 CB3EDA4E1B90A82711018A1B5B2A79D5000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000400C02CE5EC66C901000000000000000000
0000000000000000000002

2. REPLACE HEADER IN SS.BIN OF BROTHERHOOD FOR ONE THAT REFERENCES DMI.BIN
 298F341E24EBE1EC9524C6556D88AE4F000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000040040FCE8FB6BCB01000000000000000000
0000000000000000000002

both 91bytes

STEP 2
1. ADD YOUR EDITED DEFAULT.XEX FILE replacing the file using MULLETER

2. REPLACE THE FILES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTION BELOW

USE MULLETER, TO ADD THE DMI.BIN FROM RE5, THE SS.BIN YOU EDITED FROM BROTHERHOOD, AND THE PFI.BIN FROM RE5, AND THE VIDEOPARTITION FROM RE5

YOU SHOULD END UP WITH THESE FILES

1. DEFAULT.XEX from brotherhood edited to use dmi.bin from re5
2. SS.BIN from brotherhood edited to use dmi.bin from re5
3. PFI.BIN from Resident Evil 5 edited
4. DMI.BIN from Resident Evil 5 edited
5. video.iso from Resident Evil 5, extract the video partition from RE5

I BEEN PLAYING FOR 2 HOURS SO FAR FROM MY HARD DRIVE AND NO BAN!!!!!

You can pm me for a link because i know linking to files is illegal

THIS METHOD DOESN'T WORK, I GAVE IT A GOOD TRY THOUGH....ALTHOUGH...

I'm warning everyone so you do make any coaster, i made a few though.  The dmi.bin file i replace contains some instructions to point to the video parition or something which the 360 doesn't identify the disk when i put it in, although mulleter gives it a full 100%.

I'm using the new dash, otherwise I'd say this is something you should keep in mind if you find a xbox with a older dashboard. I'm using the kinect dashboard if your wondering.

I have a benq drive, so the firmware doesn't go back that far on it, but i remember old samsung firmware that all it needed was a ss file to boot the game, in which case if someone with a old samsung and old firmware can check this method and post result i'd be grateful, otherwise its cans for this.

I have not tested this, but (Correct me if I'm wrong) it looks like you are modifying the default.xex file? If this is the case, it shouldn't boot unless you have a jtag box. Modifying the default.xex would break the signature on the disk and it would only be able to launch on a box that runs unsigned code.

This may work on a Jtag box but only a Jtag , you cannot modify the xex without breaking the signature. On a Jtag modded system it doesn't matter if the game is an Ap2.5 game or not.
