Hi,

Newb to the forums here. I have a whole bunch of emus installed and the only one I REALLY want to work (uaex) doesn't load. I have it in my emulators folder, and it shows up under "self installed emulators" but I start it, then the screen goes black and then back to the dashboard. Any ideas?

It's killing me!!!

Could be you have some missing files. The latest version of Winuaex is version 7 and is roughly 4.5 megs zipped up and has 28 files.

i have exactly the same problem. my build came off the emu disc but i've no idea where to get the most recent version from.

You need the kickstart roms, "kick13.rom" and "kick30.rom" in the roms folder. They don't come packed with the emulator.

yeah i have those in the right place and still no luck. i've been into amiga emulation for years and know about the kickroms

i've been trying to play with the paths in the config file but still no joy.

i've downloaded another config file and see if it works.

Make sure you have WinUAEx & not UAEx as there both totaly different to each other, WinUAEx is the one to get

winuaex was the way to go, thanks for the advice.

still can't get it to load Speedball 2 though, but i didnt have time to dick with the configs.

I play speedball 2 all the time, just use the default 500 setting and it should work fine, it also works using the A1200 settings, when using the A1200 fixed version.

I need to know if anyone has got the original lotus esprit to run the main menu is all screwed up so you can't change any of your settings - the game works but I can't use up as accellerate !

I'm using WinUaex V7

I've tried the keyboard and mouse support which is excellent but can I ask if 2 usb mice are supported for lemmings and settlers ? has anyone tried this ?

With Lotus Esprit, you need to make sure that you have Chip and Slow RAM enabled, any amount will be do, with all other mem off. It does matter about any of the other settings.

Thanks will give that a go - like I say it was working but title screen colours on lotus badge were wrong and the main menu completely messed up.

Ps Pinball Fantasies with Keyboard rocks, I haven;t tried mapping it to the pad yet! Are the ADF images read only even if on your HD ? as this saves the scores on the Amiga.

Unzip the .adf files if you want the emulated amiga to be able to write to them.
