no offense but I don't think this really helped. I've tried about 30 games so far that didnt work before this and they still don't work.
Such as basically any of the streetfighter or xmen games,
motal kombat 1-3 very very slow, street figher 1 very slow. Baku baku finally runs so it was worth downloading.    Could this be because my rom set is quite old? At least a year old and possibly closer to a year and a half to 2 years? Would updating get any of these games to run?

i personally have kept all my kawa-x stuff where it was. There were a handfull of odds and ends that have made me happy (golden axe 2 - oh yeah). If this was the last mameox update i would be more then satisfied.

Generally that means your ROM version does not match the MAME core  

Find the 0.84 version of the ROM, see if there are different files in it... It must have changed..

yeah, a bunch of old midway games got updated so definitly use a dat to check your roms.

xport, any chance you might look at Arkanoid Returns? for some odd reason i can't use the analog stick to move back and forth like the other ones and its been like this in older mame ox's

Hi,

Nice release XPort.  I was wondering if there is a way of play .chd files on here.  I know it says to put the image in hdimages but how do i get it to show on mameox??  Thanks.

rom for the game goes in the ROMS directory, the CHD file goes in it's own folder.  So, if you have MAMEoX installed here:

/E:/APPS/EMULATORS/MAMEoX

the zipped rom goes here:

/E:/APPS/EMULATORS/MAMEoX/ROMS/romname.zip

and the chd file goes here:

/E:/APPS/EMULATORS/MAMEoX/HDIMAGES/ROMNAME/chdfile.chd

Don't expect miracles though - many of those CHD image games don't run very well on my desktop computer, and they work worse on a 733 Mhz CPU.

Once you place the files where they are supposed to go, make sure you rescan for roms from the start menu.

ANyone know how to dump a ClrMAME Pro DAT from MAMEoX or should I just dump one from MAME for PC and create my roms sets from it?

marvel vs capcom was very jerky though
