if you don't already have mameox installed, you'll probably need the .79 binary. It has all of those xpr files in it. Overlay all the files in that directory with the new stuff.

I think the only thing missing in xport's release was the resource.xpr file, which did not change.

The problem some people are having is that the "SKINS" dir is missing. Grab it from an older install for now until the problem is fixed.

yeah, im getting the same problem, i even tried replacing the whole media folder from .79 build to the .84, no luck, mame was running yesterday, but the new build cant seem to find the file, even though its there..
6.11MB, is that the size everyone else has?

and what about those of you who say it worked... did you just unzip it and send it over to your box???

ok, im having the same problem with the resourse.xpr.

i tried deleting the file, replaced it, put in .79 then copied over with .84 and i get the same black screen, i even redownloaded it, maybee this build from xbins is corrupt.

has anybody gotten this .84 ver. from xbins and got it to work?

xport says to use a skins folder from an older build..
so i downloaded these builds, looking for a skins file...0.63 0.71

and ive used just about my limit of downloading for the day.
what build contains a skins folder?
