The only wondows emulator i have seen is Pheonix but is pretty useless if you havent got your Xnox adapted for USB ( still impressive to look at though )   <

Im thinking of attempting to port Wine after Surreal v2 is finished. So you may see Windows apps on the xbox in the future. smile.gif

This is really cool. Wine would be a most welcome addition to my xbox library. But Surreal first please, can't wait for that. :D How well would Wine run on an xbox?  <

It seems that wine has limited support for games. I looked over their page and they don't focus at games at all. Just getting window programs up and running. But there are some pictures of some windows builtin cardgames running on wine. dry.gif

WineX is the stuff for playing games. But i don't think that is open-source.

A small note (i'm no developer) but it seems very possible to get to control the mouse with the stick. If i'm not mistaken ScummVMx already does this.

well wine is mostly used on linux machines. most popular games you can get linux versions of the games.

although for basic programs, theres always more windows than linux programs.

and i can think of several small programs i would love to run on my xbox to free up resources on my computer.

cant wait!

I like linksboks but i wish i could use Internet explorer or a more powerful webbrowser... Would be very sweet to be able to surf on the xbox and be able to visit most modern webpages. Hmm, what else. An IM client would be good to have. Ahh, this will rock!   <

well for that you can always run linux, just set aside 2gb and install debian, or gentoox, or whatever your preference is, then you can just install firefox, and whatever chat client you want.  <
