Difference Between Drm-free And Usual Content
« on: February 02, 2020, 04:19:00 PM »

we know that DRM-free content can be passed and read by the xbox with no problem at all, like some Fallout 3 DLC's found over the net and other stuff. Now the usual downloaded stuff cannot be read.

My question is: What's the big difference between then? What are the changes on the code that makes content free to be read by the xbox?

And... do you think it's possible to "convert" some usual content to DRM-Free ?

thanks in advance

each content has a code that links it to your console. if you move it to another console it must be re-signed thru xbox live. Now, if you have a jtag... you can clear that code and the jtag will ignore it making everything playable wink.gif

The DLC has been taken from actual Xbox 360 game disks, like the Fallout 3 GoTY Disc 2 that only includes the extra DLC.
This DLC is signed by MS, but its not console restricted.
