XPort is working on merging in v.84 of MAME into MAMEoX.  If you want to play .84 roms, you need the .84 set (and make sure you pick up changes / additions from .79 to .84 as well).

This is awesome I just got my full set of mame roms loaded onto the xbox about 6 months ago and was sad that elevator action 2 and gunbird 2 didn't work. It's great to see that progress is being made to this project in some form or another.

I can't wait for the new version. I have the complete romset for 0.84, minus the games requiring the .CHD's loaded already, so it is just a matter of time now  beerchug.gif

Thanks again Xport, your emulators are the #1 reason I have an Xbox  wink.gif

beerchug.gif Holy smokes, Xport.  I don't know how many times it needs to be said but you are the man.  Anyway, I pray for a favorites menu.  Shifting through all those games makes me dizzy. (yeah I know there is a filter but it's not as great as his favorites menu in his console emus)

MAMEoX is great just need Virtual Memory and in list mode a screenshot would be nice of the selected rom. (even beter 3 screenshots the center one current rom larger than the one below and above that are the rom that are above and below the selcted rom) That would rock.

But great NEWS

PS Tiger road
Steet Fighter 1
Bubble Bobble Memories
Elevator Action 2(pic)
Rampage World Tour

These dont work would be great to have them going

holy shit, i was just preparing to order a busted mobo off ebay so that i could upgrade my xbox w/ its ram... turns out i dont have to put my xbox under the knife, and no longer have to f*** w/ using kawax (a great emulater btw). the point of this post isnt entirely to compliment, i have 2 suggestions.

1. i would appreciate a link to where i can donate the $$$ i intended to spend on my ram upgrade to you.

2. failing that, an oath to worship u and no other god for us to chant should suffice.

you fucking rock xport!

Thank you all for the compliments.

I do like this DB and I recommend using it :

http://www.digitalhosting.ca/mamedb/

We seem to be straying from the point of the thread, however.  The purpose of this thread is to extract information from the user community about what games currently give out-of-memory errors (or just crash) in MAMEoX 0.79.

I'm not changing the UI.  I'm not taking ownership of the project.  I'm not entertaining feature requests at this time.

Each problematic game has to be defined to use virtual memory if it needs it.  If it's not on the list, then it's not going to be supported.

Also, please do refrain from asking for some performance-boosting miracle to occur.  If the game runs in MAMEoX, but it doesn't run well, then that's just the way things go.  I'm only currently interested in getting games running accurately.  I may look into speed optimizations in the future, but definitely not now.

Again, Xport you ARE the xbox GOD!!!!

The #1 game i always wanted to play on my xbox is Revolution X and i think its one that wont run cuz of memory.

Damn u rock Xport, where did u learn to code? cuz thats where i wanna go!!!!

I cant wait to see what u can do with xbox2(if it can be hacked, i thought anything could be hacked till the gamecube came along, hope M$ realizes how much the xbox1 being hacked helped it grow.)

I could be wrong here... I think Rampage World Tour spazzes out at a point.

Xport, the only reason why we hope for your brilliance is because we know it's there. Feature requests and Xport-staples are perhaps too easy NOT to think about.

I hope we don't bother you further.

Go on. Quietly. Big stick, dude. Knock it all down.

Yeah
