I don't usually latch on to existing projects, but instead of making yet another MAME port, I thought it would make more sense to give a jump-start to an existing one.  

For this reason, I've implemented virtual memory into MAMEoX - here are some examples of what's working now:

They all run well with at worst just an occasional hiccup.

I also don't usually make "announcement" posts.  I'll just release something when it's done without any warning.  However, I need some information from the user community and if I just asked the questions, I'm sure it would not be much of a mystery as to what I was doing.

So, what I need to get is a list of all the games that work in the Windows/DOS version of MAME 0.79 but do not work in MAMEoX 0.79.  Most of these are probably the ones that required too much memory, but there are some others that just crashed regardless of how much memory was present (e.g. Tengai).  

Yes, I plan on merging in the 0.84 core and yes I'm probably going to look at the lightgun code.

Xport you are a very bad man, I'd stopped playing my xbox, I barely checked the forums and I was about to go back out into the real world.

Now you have to do this.

Vasara 1 & 2 didn't work on .79 for the xbox (Memory issues)

can't really remember any others as I really haven't touched my xbox in months except for XBMC.

looks like ill finally start playing mame on the xbox now *always did pc, and used xbox for cps1/2,neo*

please please please (!)

1. make sure the romsets you test work with MAME32 0.79
2. make sure you have the proper bios required

in most cases here we're looking for errors that explicitly state that they're out of memory (malloc failed), or they hard lock mameox after the 'loading complete' or 'ok' screens.

Analogue controls could also do with some fine-tuning. So is this going to be just a one off release or are you intending to continue the MAMEoX project?

Since both of my xboxes have 128 MB in them now I need help determining which romsets have problems.

Please, if a rom I listed works with 64 MB, inform me in this thread and I'll update this list.

I cant wait this is going to rock the emulation world.

Two games i remember that run out of memory on the xbox are

1. tiger road  My favorite

2. Blazing Tornado  a wrestling game that was ported to sega saturn

Only two i can thank of right now.
