If your bro has a jtagged 360 and is running xbreboot - there is a patch for that going around where you can use flash360 to patch it with a file called 'xbrpatch' (use google) and then you can run any region games on your 360.

My box is pal but I can play the untouched version of battlefield bad company 2 ntsc on it after I applied this patch.

After make console region free, when booting ; does it always have to run .xex via xexmeny/freestyleDash or we can play game disc in the drive?

Once you have updated xbr patchset with the region free patch it will play all regions from anywhere, you havent patched xexmenu etc you have patched xbr so nxe dash will play region free too
