Xenon - E79 With Diodes And Resistor 330ohm
« on: March 05, 2010, 05:34:00 AM »

Hi everybody of x360 scene

I've a problem with my Xenon and XBR3. I'd try with XBR3 and Xell and only E79.

It's my x360 - Xenon (without HDMI) con cb1903 y 7371

(IMG:http://www.imaxenes.com/mini/consola1is42x5.jpg)

Im going to clearly explain the steps that I have followed:

- Get backup of my nand with nanddumper LPT (7 identical copies)
- Get kv and config
- To inject kv and config to XBR3
- To erase nand
- To flash nand with XBR3 + kv + config
- Turn off x360
- To weld the 3 resistors of 330ohm (I have bought 10 resistance in different stores and have tried with all)

(IMG:http://www.imaxenes.com/mini/resistencias1if27ww.jpg)

- Turn on x360 and...

(IMG:http://www.sidequesting.com/wp-content/uploads/E79.jpg)

Good now I begin to receive commentaries of the type:

It reviews if well jtag is welded
It reviews the welds well are not welded the resistors
Test with the diodes that is but trustworthy --> I have tried and does the same
You have injected kv and config badly --> I did it with nandpro, with the BinCrypt2 Build 28 and to end I bought usbjtagnt and I used script that puts in the official page to get kv and config and to put them in the XBR

Open Xbr3 with kv and config in 360_Flash_Tool_v0.91 and open perfectly
(the x360 only worked once with Xell and get cpu key but only once)

I go to detect continuity:
(IMG:http://www.imaxenes.com/mini/tester1cc86cx.jpg)

I go to resistors (picture 1) and I place a cable of tester in a wire piece that exceeds between the resistance and the weld to prove the continuity. And you will ask yourselvesÂ… and where it tests? good question. I prove it here to the continuity:

(IMG:http://www.imaxenes.com/mini/alternativos_con_colores1jy97es.jpg)

As you can observe I have put it with colors to identify each point. To say that these points are next to one of the holes that surround to the silver-plated chip that puts Mocrosoft Xbox 360 (watching the console from the front, the second hole of the right part)

When trying those points give continuity that is that the resistors are perfectly welded. Nothing of cold welds or lacking of FLUX

Now we are going to prove the continuity in the other point of weld, that is to say, the J2D2 or what is the same, the zone next to the dissipator where the other end of the resistors goes. the points to verify the continuity are these:

(IMG:http://www.imaxenes.com/mini/cables_y_puntos_con_colores1us03pf.jpg)

After the verificationsÂ… there is continuity so he is everything perfectly welded.

I do everything what it is had to do andÂ… E79

Good, but of one it possibly has the same problem that I and do not know why.

To say that if I recover the original NAND with jtag put 3LR (3 red lights)

I believe that there is to be problem of the XBR3 that my console is a little delicate LOL

I hope that help me.

So you are using the 330 ohm resistors instead of the switching diodes on the JTAG mod?

The pictures of your board are really bad so I can't tell if the soldering is right, but I would double-check the solder job. Make sure you wired it up right and check for cold solder joints. Also, I would change the resistors out for diodes.

Hi again.

I proved with diodes too and... E79

The solders are fine.

Trying to make out your wiring I see you have J2D2.1 and J2D2.2 soldered. Do you have the resistors/diodes on the other end of the wires going to J1F1?

And what about J2D2.4 -> J2D2.7? I don't see those two bridged. I only see a wire soldered to J2D2.4 but the other end doesn't go to J2D2.7...

Finally, what is the secondary error code you get when you get the E79? Here's a reference:

Resistors:
J1F1.3 --> J2D2.1
J1F1.4 --> J2D2.2
J1F1.5 --> J2D2.4

Diodes
J1F1.3 --> J2D2.1
J1F1.4 --> J2D2.2
                J2D2.4 -- RESISTOR 330OHM -- J2D2.7

Its my configuration.

The J2D2.4 and J2D2.7 points are connected among them

The secondary error code is 1033

Thanks for your help man
