I have backed up my copy of assassins creed 2 and when I install it using xex loader it wont run !! If I browse the contents it has a system update folder and video ts and audio ts I have loads of other back ups all burnt the same way and they run fine..... any ideas

Yeah had same problem with saw the video game but using Xbox Image Browser will sort that problem out  
Also unless your running freeboot dont expect to play to much of ac2 its freezes quite often.

Thanks for reply but how would I go about using xbox image browser to get it to work, sorry bit of a noob here

load the image via dvd or a image file then choose extraxt

Or flash your DVD drive with the latest firmware.  I'm assuming you have a stock drive, yes? I had that problem with that exact game until I put on the latest iXtreme 1.6 (non-activate).  Now I put in the disk and it boots right up.

Guessing it has to do with the drive detecting it as a DVD-R and assuming it's a burned video, since it shouldn't boot recorded games in stock config.

I got ixtreme 1.51 for liteon. I thought that was a non-stealth version. Forza 3 original disc works fine. I'll update to ixtreme 1.61 and see if that helps.

Could always do it this way.

1) Put in activate.iso
2) Hit copydvd in xexloader
3) Put in Assassins Creed 2 when it ejects
4) Hit confirm

still did'nt work    mw2 works no probs. totally stumped

Activate.iso only work with ixtreme 1.6, and you mentiond you only have 1.51 installed.

you should update to ixtreme 1.61 or LT

you can also wave patch AC2 to wave3 and give it a try

updated to ixtreme 1.61 and worked perfectly. Weird as I thought 1.51 was also 'non-stealth'.
