« on: August 22, 2009, 01:07:00 PM »

alright guys i went ahead and signed up i have a few questions and would love a little walk through if anyone can help.

i have a hitachi 79fk right here in front of me from an old rrod console, and i also have another 360 with a dead Samsung drive. now my goal is to use this hitachi drive in the 360 that has the dead samsung drive.

here are the questions i have because i googled alot and there is so many different things and my issue is a little different.

1. can i flash this hitachi 79fk with my onboard sata?
2. can i use the flashed hitachi drive in the 360 that has the samsung drive?
3. if this is possible can you give me the most updated software to flash and basicly all the most updated tools i would need?
4. most importantly a simple walk through if possible? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

would really appreciate the help im completely new and all the googling i did  just confused me.

1) Read the firmware from both drives
2) Flash the hitachi with iXtreme
3) Flash spoof data to the hitachi (point it to your samsung's .bin for spoof data)

Hop on IRC and stop by #jungleflasher if you need more help.
