I voted yes by feeling, but really the answer is no. Yes, they should release it or allow a license to support the fans of their previous works especially if they don't even make thaty gaming machine anymore. But no, they shouldn't be forced to making it available.
Because the unfortunate truth is that they own these titles outright, it's property. Like if I buy a new car, then eventually let it rot in my driveway. Sure, it makes sense that someone else should be able to fix it up and drive it, but it's MY car and I can let it sit there and rust as much as I want. It's a shame, but that's the owner's perogitive (sp?).
Anyway, it's hard to convince them to give away their old titles for free when people are willing to still pay for them piecemail. Take MS3 on Xbox for example. You could fit every Neo Geo game made and a perfect emulator on 1 DVD disc for xbox, but why should they when people will pay $30 for just MS3? If it was $50 and had every Neo Geo title on it, I suspect everyone in this forum would have picked it up by now. Unfortuately, that's not the way they make maximum money (profits) so it doesn't happen. Ah well, at least legal or not we CAN get ROMs and enjoy them at home with relative ease. Be happy...
