The mechanism which prevents you from running modified data is based on the fact that the xbox 360's CPU contains a nonstandard L2 cache which encrypts/decrypts data on its way to and from RAM. This makes it impossible to tamper with as this would require physical intrusion into the CPU die. The mechanism does not work quite as you describe, but that's not important. smile.gif

Getting the public key wont help at all.

You need the private key and its not stored anywhere on the console.

+ The NAND being signed with a Per console key does not help as well
