Nonmodded 360
« on: December 12, 2007, 02:34:00 AM »

Ok, my xbox 360 can play xbox1 backups, its a stock refurbished unmodded core system that i put a 120gig on. I put in my backup and it updated the hdd with the backcompat update and everything, but it actually played the game. Now i'm thinking if i rebuild a 360 backup in the same manor as a xbox1 backup that would try to work, but alas it did not. Are all core systems like this, or can this be exploited. Note, I am very curious in trying anything but opening the console.

Hmm...maybe its possible your "stock refurbished unmodded" is actually "modded"

What are the chances M$ took in a return that had xtreme firmware, fixed it, and sent it back to the store with the same drive.

That wouldnt explain why a 360 backup wouldnt work, unless you didnt burn it correctly, or used crappy media.

This is interesting.Unless your just BSing

Mine will play xbox 1 backups as well. I bought mine used at EB Games. The sticker has not been broken on it either.

People have become good at getting in and out of a 360 without damaging the sticker so used from eb games and plays backups smells like a modded console to me...

Hmm, this makes me think my original 360 (not preowned but chances are its refurbished) was modified, because when i got it on Christmas the update bricked my 360 (yes i got very angry XD).

Ps: I opened my 360 to see what drive it is and since then ive had a 3rlod my sticker wasn’t damaged when I sent it back because of the way it’s placed it gives into pressure really easily.

That's what it always does biggrin.gif It tells you you need the HDD and when you have it BAM "unreadable disc". Maybe MS wants to sell more HDDs I don't know but it does not play backups.
