Bravo, Bravo!!! Everything is looking great! Wow you guys totally rule.   I just got into the whole modding scene about 6 months ago, and I am just floored at all the hard work and effort done by everyone here on this site! The next version of Surreal looks absolutely fantastistic.    beerchug.gif

Great looking screenshots, and the GUI looks amazing.

Speaking of Majora's Mask, I wanted to follow-up on some issues a few of us were having regarding save states and loading.
http://forums.xbox-s...pic=152886&st=0

Using Surreal v1, the game would occassionally freeze when loading a save state.  Iriez suggested the European rom version of the game, but some of us had problems even with that.  The common consensus was that improved source code and new plugins would mostly remove the freezing experienced with save state loading.  Do any of you know if this is true?

Thanks again.

I think the MM problems are here to stay.  Here's what I've experienced:

US Rom -- no dice.  Screen went black on day 2 (or 3).
JPN Rom -- worked w/ some major problems (invisible textures, etc.) until I got to the moon, then the screen went black -- like w/ the US Rom on Day 2.... just at the end of the game.
EUR Rom -- not tried.

I'm hoping that v2.0 sorts out these problems, but we won't know until it's out.

Any idea if there will be games that will run perfectly (i.e. Super Mario 64) in this incarnation?  Would be pretty cool to see Zelda OOT working perfectly in Surreal 2 imo.  Good luck to lantus and oDD_ on their endeavor though.

Is there going to be gameshark support in in V2 with the option of adding a description to the code?

As it has been said before, AWESOME WORK!

Screenshots look amazing, keep up the good work.

Only suggestion/thought I have is, would it be possible to have like a compatability xml type file?

That way the rating and the settings that people have found to work could be read from that file?

Just a thought from a lowely peon of the scene.

You guys and all the other programmers in the scene are unbelievable.

I eagerly await this release...

I still think they should at least put the gameshark in and have it as an option especially for the ppl that have 128mb ram.  Also this may sound like a stupid question cause I don't know a damn thing about programming but can they implement some sort of virtual memory like KAWA-X?

man v mem is in the original i beleive but im not the expert

well I sent a 128 MB board to oDD to help him in his development of Surreal V2 so I have no clue what he will now tweak for the 128 MB board owners but it should help at least with compiling the program.

Lantus already has a devkit which has 128mb.

Surreal was actually the first emulator to implement virtual memory (just not publically). oDD had his routines working weeks before kawax was released.
