I'm Backing Up My Sega Cd Games
« on: June 02, 2004, 01:14:00 AM »

I have backed up some of my Sega CD games for neogenesis use (Cobra Command & Road avenger work perfectly when converted to bin format)

However Sonic CD loses it's music and Snatcher loses it's cutscenes when converted to bin & cue files.

As such i need to know what is the best way to make a backup cdrw of these games so that they will play directly from the cdrw in Neogenesis v14.

Thanks

I use IsoBuster to rip the data track.  Make sure you don't rip it in RAW mode.  Then I use Audiograbber to rip the music tracks as mp3's.  Make sure you use the following naming format:

track.iso
track 02.mp3
track 03.mp3
track 04.mp3

etc...

I haven't made a cue sheet yet and this format has worked perfectly for me.

Strange, i played through that part without any problems with NeoGenesis.

I'm near the end of the game and haven't experienced anything wrong.  Maybe you downloaded a bad rip.  I'd see if maybe you can just find the iso somewhere.
