The guitar hero 2 on the ps2 was hacked, so what are the chances that the same can be done for the xbox 360 version (inserting your own songs)?

IF it came down to chances, I'd have to say about one in a trillion. I don't agree with that though... It's impossible, they're two completely different systems, completely bogus question sir.

Understand THEN take action and post, I do believe there are pinned "No more newbie questions or posts" or something of that nature. Acquire some knowledge first.

dont know why you talk to him like that, ps2 wasnt "hacked" so you could play custom songs on gh2, so it isnt "bogus" to think you could do it on a 360, because they both can play backups, and thats all needed on ps2, so a little more courtesy and just a couple of words explaining would help a lot more.

ill try to be polite cause i dont post on here often, hence lack of credibility... but he IS right, im sure it would require the ability to run unsigned code, even if the songs arent signed, which they probably are... even if they arent, it would be difficult to use NEW songs in place of them, and the size of any file would have to be SMALLER than the original and padded to make the .iso the same length... and then remember this would at the minimum require a modded DVD drive... not worth adding some crappy songs to the game... i wouldnt say its impossible, as they aready have unsigned code running from the KK/firmware exploit... someday it WILL happen, and by that time you wont care about this game

Actually its not a bogus question sir.  It is not a newbie question, just a topic to start some discussion.  And I do have knowledge you jerk.

Also just because you can do somthing on one console does not mean you can do it on another

I think it may be in some way theoretically possible to do this, as this had been done before "not with music" but with a config file from Oblivion in which you could modify the file to the same bytes and it would run as a backup on the 360 with whatever you may have changed.  Same goes for King Kong's shaders.

Just because you can do something for one system, game or whatever done not mean the same thing will work on another.

Yes because of the songs on the hdd(DLC) could be modified easily(well you know what I mean). Well, easier than the disk songs.

Ah wow has he done any sort of write up/tut. on the process? Im thinking this will be much simpler than the ps2 since its dlc on a memcard...dont need to burn a new disc everytime/load an entire ISO in hdloader.
