One of the main reasons I bought an XBOX was for all the emulators available so I definitely play with emus a lot more, mostly NES/SNES/Sega Genesis/NeoGeo. Was just interested in seeing what the rest of the people on the forum do.

I've not really been interested in my XBox releases so far. I've had a blast on a few, and quite enjoyed Splinter Cell, and that Shingiki (SP?) Shmup. But other than that nothing has exactly grabbed me by the balls. Emulation and media playing is where the XBox really shines. It's the first time I've ever really had chance to put my rom sets to good use, as playing PC emulators, even with a game pad, has never given me the same experience as the originals. But Xbox emulation, thru a TV feels almost as good as the real thing.

I play about 99% emu's and 1% xbox games,
but thats mostly because i'm stuck in the old days when everything was better.

latley ive played the suffering here and there and i just tried sonic heros, but other than that its pretty much romage and now ff7...... but its warm dude i dont have much time for anything anymore

Bought the XBOX because of the emulators available for it.
Play some 'real' games now and then.. but 9/10 times I'm playing with emu's.

emulators and the media player is the main reason why i bought my xbox (well that and the fact i got a good deal for a modchip )

Like many, I bought my xbox just because you could play emulators on them. I was just getting into pc emulators, when the enigmah chip first started coming into light. So pretty much xbox emulation, is where I learned all about "emulation" and "roms" This is by far, the best piece of machinery, I've ever owned. This 1 box, contains every game I've ever known and loved, and plays, sounds, just like the real thing!    I can't imagine anything topping this! But, you never know.....

Well, I guess I'm the only one who bought my xbox to play xbox games.

I play emus frequently, but I don't spend nearly the time with emus that I do with xbox games. And, with the exception of arcade roms, if I find myself spending any amount of time with an emulated game I usually just dust off the old system and play on it instead.

I use it for media playback too, but only digital stuff; I prefer to use my DVD player for DVDs.

I have a lot of old SNES and NES games lying around so when I get a hit of nostalgia, I use the Xbox. It is a lot more convenient. I was enjoying MK just the other day

I played XBOX games for a while until I realized there weren't many good ones. (beyond good and evil was pretty good, deus ex 2, morrowind, other than that I haven't seen much) so now all I do is play SNES and GBA games.  Once in a while I pull out Tetris to play with my wife.

While I do play emus more than retail games, the main thing i use my x-box for is XBMC (and before that XBMP).  Just the ability to go through my mp3 connection w/ a remote control wirelessly and have it hook up to my speakers easily really makes the money i've put into my x-box worth it.
