good to see some real work getting done (ie, not dvd-firmware related)

you are aware that this will require the firmware hack to load the hypervisor exploit right?

on topic, great work to everyone involved in this.

Sweet nice work, does this boot loader mean we now have all 3 cores up and running? Before the guy who got Linux running said only 1 core was active.

i think he said that the hypervisor exploit itself was only able to seize control of one of the cores, so i think we might have to wait for the hypervisor exploit to be used to give the right people the access they need to get the hypvervisor decrypted, and find more holes. i could be way out in left field though.

someone please clarify for me I have 4532 kernal.  But it is a virgin xbox 360 not flashed.  So I need to get it flashed?  Can someone please link me to how I can do that.  Then I need to buy king kong make a backup then use it to boot this linux bootloader?  Like I am so confused.  Someone please help out a brother with the right kernal.  It would be much appreciated.

I think what was being referred to is that the DVD firmware hack (up til now) has only been good for running legitimate backups or piracy.  (Right? I'm not missing anything am I?)  My money is on the side that the bulk of the modded DVD drives out there were done to run illegal copies, sadly.  If the DVD hack is required to get to homebrew so be it, at least now I would argue that there is a more legitimate reason for hacking the drive.

Lack of 360 homebrew is why I have not yet advanced past my Xbox 1.  With the speed that progress is now picking up I think it is time to try and pick up a retail 360 that would have been shipped prior to the e-fuse toasting update.  Even if it just sits on the shelf for a while, just in case a downgrade workaround is never found it would be nice to be prepared for wide-open homebrew on the small percentage of 360s that could run it.

I flashed my box with birdy Flasher. Does that automatically mean that I have lost my DVD Key? Dont understand what the key is for? I can run backup games. Do I need the key?

masked_hero+felix_domke=homebrew
masked_hero=(4532 or 4548) and (crwl360_loader+kingkong_backup)
kingkong_backup=flashed_drive
felix_domke=xell and serial_device

BUT...

it's possible we get soon :

homebrew=(4532 or 4548) and (new_ethernet_loader+kingkong_backup)
new_ethenet_loader=crwl360_loader+xell

So that eliminates serial_device (and only serial_device)

Isn't it crystal clear now? Mmm? Mathematics is the best sometimes to explain things...

Great work, good to see some real work getting done (ie, not dvd-firmware related)

they said a mod FW and a mod king kong has to be in place!
the FW plays a major role i suspect!
